i was surfing the web for some new comedians to check out, and i came upon this list of the 100 greatest stand-up comedians as voted on by people visiting the BBC channel 4 website.  as it turns out, british people with internet connections don’t know shit about comedy.  evidence?  they voted roseanne barr ( 56 ), dennis leary ( 35 ), joan rivers ( 28 ) and… wait for it… andrew dice clay ( 38 ) to be funnier than george carlin ( 62 ).

upon reading this abortion of a list, i spit on and doused with kerosene the union jack flag that my neighbor flies.  however, before i flicked my bic lighter i settled down a bit and checked out some of the other names.  as expected, most of the comedians are “rubbish,” but a few of them actually had some funny things to say.  here are a few:
