an honest question for celtics fans.

efwdaws

the best, mayne… i deeed it.

if you’re a boston fan, i want you to keep it real for a minute and honestly answer the following question:

does the celtics beating the lakers in historic fashion make up for the pain felt after the patriots losing to the giants? i’m not even trying to rub super bowl XLII in your face. i’m honestly asking…

because after the giants won, it completely erased the pain and humiliation of the mets 2007 season from my mind. the wound healed for me instantly. yeah, the mets still suck (witness: willie randolph getting fired yesterday)… but once my giants won, the hurt from the epic mets collapse disappeared INSTANTLY. one fan to another, bostonians… did the celtics brutalizing their arch rivals numb the pain of losing the super bowl?

let me know what you think…

it is a relief in my opinion, but i think i’ll never completely forget what happened to the patriots. i’ll always remember the week of mourning that took place after the super bowl.

Jay, I was very bad and sent your link to one of our interns. He’s cracking up and I’m probably going to get him in trouble.

Shannon told me to come to LA while you’re there… when are you headed back east?

  6. saucy z Says:

I was ACTUALLY disappointed when LA lost. Not that I expected them to win or anything, but I really wanted to party.

total – i’m a knick fan… basketball season ended in november.

saucy – want to party? i hear ripping down the laker flags on top of all the people’s cars in l.a. is a good time. seriously – isn’t that shit a little “gomer” for a city as big as los angeles?

erika – florida is on the east coast, smartypants. thats where i am. sorry that your minion, er intern is getting in trouble. i can’t help being a barrel of larfs.

  9. Matt Sherwood Says:

yeah, the c’s winning it all DEFINITELY makes up for the pain…the c’s needed this win to restore the celtic legacy and they did it in convincing fashion, blowing out the lakers at home. beautiful win!

  10. Lady Valentin Says:

Saucy I too was very disappointed. I wanted to party…. instead I watched my beloved team get slaugheterd.

I was just a bit baffled but the sudden appearance of Celtic fans all over LA. I dont remember seeing ONE effin Celtics jersey last season when they came in dead last. All of a sudden- everyones got a KG or Pierce or Ray Allen Jersey….. getthefuckouttahere!!!!! Boston bandwagon bastards. Thats how I really feel.

I will say though, kind of happy KG got his ring. Still dont like Pierce- dont give a damn that he’s from Inglewood. He gets on my nerves.

Also- pissed off that my lil cousin in freakin Co-op all of a sudden was a Boston Fan. Im like – ummm you live in the BRONX. Our family are DIE HARD Yankee Fans. Boston is our mortal enemy in ANY sport. WTF!!

Enjoy your consolation prize for losing the superbowl Boston.

  14. Lady Valentin Says:

Are you calling me an angry elf????

When did I get pointy ears and shrink in size? How many 5′8″ elfs do you see?

But yes, Im angry. and sad. disappointed. heartbroken. But definitely angry.

  15. Lady Valentin Says:

i meant elves. I know the plural form of elf. I swear I do. LOL

must. walk. away. from. maryjane. she’s no longer a good friend to me….

  16. justin Says:

fuck the patriots…i’m from beantown…cowboys are america’s team they take precedent…rooting for any one else is supporting terrorism

  17. jayare20k Says:

word, i can definitely see how rooting for a team other than the cowboys would be similar to rooting for al-quaida.
