i blame the smoke monster.

as anyone who cares to read this post will already know – the season finale for LOST was on last night. that ep wreaked havoc on my brain. maybe the illest season cliffhanger i’ve ever seen. very controversial – playing with time like the writers have. a few fanboy-style thoughts, then. don’t read this if you haven’t seen the episode and you’re going to be a bitch about reading spoilers.
if jack is in the future, then why is his dead father still getting drunk before surgery and writing his son prescriptions for oxycontin? are we supposed to infer that jack’s dad never really died? oh – that reminds me…apologies to diddy for swiping his cigarettes as i left the finale party. dude wasted no time admonishing me:

my bad.
the identity of the person in the casket is plaguing me. all that we know about this person is that their passing is important for jack and kate, nobody was close enough to _____ to attend the funeral, that sure was a small-ish coffin, and the funeral home was on a ghetto ass block in l.a. please let me know if i’m missing something.
but thats whatever…i think the main thing that was revealed last night is that the island definitely does channel locke (and presumably ben). “jacob” asked locke to help him, and the next move john makes is putting an axe through naomi’s back in order to keep whoever is on that ship away? interesting. since locke and ben shared a motive, are they positioning ben to be a good guy now? or are they positioning locke to become a bad guy?
and on the topic of becoming a bad guy…sup with sawyer turning homicidal?
it’s funny that i blogged about the show recently, because “the west wing” also did a cliffhanger episode where they fast forward into the future and you end up knowing the fate of major characters before everyone’s narrative has been played out. but they fucked up, because one of the actors on the show – john spencer – died before the series concluded. the makers of lost better hope that matthew fox and evangeline lilly stay alive for the next 2 years. jack, kate…now would be a good time to re-negotiate your contracts with abc.
now, the difficult part: waiting for the 2008 season. stupid slow-ass moving time. maybe if i was trapped on a deserted island…

If they don’t start trying harder to pull off Sayid’s plans, they get what they deserve. Sayid has had enough. of the incompetence surrounding him on the island. It they two Sayid’s and two Rousseau’s, this thing would be over.
so true. at the very least BERNARD needs to listen to sayid. whats up with him spilling the crucial information to the others with barely any provocation? chump.
